Random Act of Kid-ness: Keeping Kids Warm

This week’s Random Act of Kid-ness comes from Maryland, where 10 year old Kayla Jackson started a blanket drive for people in need-whether they are in dialysis centers, homeless shelters, etc. Called Kayla Cares if You’re Cold, the drive was founded in 2009 and received over 200 new and slightly used blankets for people in need in its first year alone. Kayla is now getting ready for her 3rd annual drive! What an inspiration!

“Once you begin to acknowledge random acts of kindness – both the ones you have received and the ones you have given – you can no longer believe that what you do does not matter.” -Dawna Markova
