We’d like to give a shout out to Jack & Eric’s Pirate Lemonade Stand, one of our very first RAKs, for letting us know about this other fantastic lemonade stand story!
This week’s Random Act of Kid-ness comes to us from Detroit, where 9 year old Joshua Smith decided to start a lemonade and popcorn stand to raise money for his hometown, which currently faces a deficit in excess of $100 million. Joshua’s story has received local and national media attention, and he has raised over $1,000 so far to help save Detroit!
You can read more about Joshua’s story and see how Detroit’s Mayor responded here. Great job, Joshua!
