This week’s Random Act of Kid-ness comes to us from Newfoundland, Canada, where 10 year old Elijah Porter sent the Canadian men’s 4×100 relay team a letter and medal after he heard they were disqualified during the Olympics. In his letter, Elijah said:
“When I heard what happened on Aug. 11, I knew it was wrong. The rules were not right […] We’re Canadian. We persevere. We create better lives for each other. The cold didn’t stop us from living in the North. We didn’t lose the War of 1812.”
We love kids who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe is right (and who support their country!). Read more about Elijah and his random act of kindness here.
