We had a super awesome first day of camp yesterday! We learned about what it means to be a HERO. We explored community heroes (Firefighter, Doctor, Baker, etc) and discovered all the tools that our heroes need to do their jobs well. We also recognized the heroes in our own families – including mommies, daddies, uncles, aunts, grandparents, nannies, and more!
Then we examined our own superhero qualities and created our own super hero identities! We decorated capes and masks and started our first day of superhero training! We practiced running in place to build our speed, we practiced laser eyes by staring at one place for a really really really long time, and we practiced being invisible by moving very slooowwwwwly and sneakily!
